Venue Manager Craig Ryan said that since the re-opening, their focus had been on sourcing the freshest local produce and delivering meals of consistently high quality.
“We offer traditional favourites such as tender slow-cooked lamb shanks, juicy steaks and chicken schnitzels, along with more creative fare like vegetable tandoori and chorizo and chilli penne – all cooked to perfection,” Craig said.
“Our specialty nights are Tuesday Reef and Beef and Wednesday Parmy Night. These are for members only and are proving very popular.”
Special Nights and Seasonal Flavors at UPSTAIRS
There are variations to the menu to highlight the flavours of each season, as well as innovative and scrumptious monthly specials on both mains and desserts. With Octoberfest happening, a mouth-watering German-inspired pork knuckle dish will be featured this month.
Craig said that while the décor had been refreshed, they had retained the heritage of the old RSL building.
“We like to honour war veterans by offering traditional favourite dishes of theirs, for example, our lunch specials include lambs fry with bacon and steak and kidney pot pie,” Craig said.
The venue is spacious, allowing everyone to dine in comfort while friendly staff and an abundance of plants add to the ambience. Bar, gaming and entertainment areas bring another dimension to your lunch or dinner dining experience.
