What’s better than seeing an old-school Landcruiser out on the road? How about the largest gathering of classic Toyota Landcruisers in one place?!

The Caboolture Showgrounds will play host to the Classic Landcruiser Expo and Car Show (CLECS), a family-friendly event orchestrated to celebrate the culture and continued preservation of classic Toyota Landcruisers.

Organised and presented by Mr Landcruiser, a Caboolture-based business specialising in the restoration, maintenance and modification of classic Toyota Landcruiser four-wheel drives, CLECS is expected to showcase a remarkable display of 200 to 250 classic Landcruisers, making it a record-breaking event in the history of the show.

Reuben Heath is the proud owner of a 1977 FJ45 Toyota Landcruiser Truck. His passion for classic Landcruisers stems back to a young age, learning to drive his father’s ‘Shorty’ Landcruiser at the age of nine and heading along to 4×4 winch challenges with his parents. Reuben is one enthusiast very much looking forward to CLECS 2024.

“For me, this expo is an opportunity to share a common interest with others who have a love for Landcruisers and also see everyone’s individual taste displayed on their Cruisers,” Reuben said. “Paul and Richard have brought this community together and the show is run so well, with great sales from the vendors and a few legends making appearances, like Roothy and the main man from Terrain Tamer.”

The CLECS core event will be a competition car show with an awards ceremony at the end of the day. There will also be industry celebrities in attendance for meet-and-greet opportunities and special panels. In addition to the car show, there will be a range of activities, including food and drink stalls, entertainment for all ages and opportunities to engage with vendors and sponsors. The outer perimeter of the show will feature Landcruiser-specific and 4WD industry vendors with stalls and product demonstrations.

The Toyota Landcruiser has more than half a century of history in the agricultural, mining, construction, touring and adventuring sides of Australian culture and has become the most iconic off-roader in the history of Australian motoring. The groundswell of interest in these vehicles over the past few years has been unexpected and seismic, so head along and witness the largest gathering of classic Landcruisers in the country!
