Love browsing local markets? 

Delights are in store when the Pop-Up Indoor Market returns to Morayfield Sport and Events Centre on Saturday, 6 June, from 8am to 12pm. 

Passionate local makers, growers and creators will bring a wide range of goods to this popular indoor market. The whole family will be able to browse jewellery, toys, fruit and vegetables, homemade goodies, homewares, candles and more. 

The air-conditioned venue means attendees will be able to stay comfortable no matter the weather. The onsite café will also be open for coffee, cold drinks and light refreshments.

Ready to rock country and western style? 

Vixens

The “Queens of Boho Country Rock”, Vixens of Fall, will bring their wild, witchy, Western music to Narangba Valley Tavern on Saturday, 13 June. 

Sisters Nina, Wren and Lulu will be on stage in the Sports Bar from 8pm. Influenced by the likes of Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and Shania Twain, their music captures the essence of country rock with heartfelt tunes that everyone can relate to. 

The Vixens said people could expect a fun night out, full of country rock and sass.  

“We love performing and we’re so excited that it’s a local show!” Nina said. “It’s a free event, so let’s get as many people to fill up the Narangba Tavern as possible! Make sure you’re wearing your dancing boots. We’re gonna get rowdy!”

Curious about the ‘other side’ of Bauer House?

Caboolture Historical Village will see the return of the popular two-hour guided tour ‘An Evening in Bauer House with Mystic Jewelz’ on Friday, 19 June. 

Participants will have the chance to step into what organisers describe as the “most requested and active building” within Caboolture Historical Village for an exclusive after-dark experience. The evening, which runs from 6pm to 8pm, includes access to rooms not usually open to the public, a history of the house, and an opportunity to connect with the energy of the space using intuitive-based methods. 

Mystic Jewelz said it was hard to tell guests what they could expect from the evening because each visit results in a different experience.  

“While I cannot guarantee paranormal experiences, if guests are respectful and open, then having an amazing experience is quite possible,” she said.

Be a Superhero at this Workout and Breakfast Charity Event! 

Don your cape and mask to workout at a Super Hero Labour Day Public Holiday event at PEPT Narangba on Monday, 4 May. 

No superhero experience is required, but attendees are encouraged to dress as Superman, Wonder Woman, Deadpool or their other favourite superhero as they train in support of The Breakfast Club Redcliffe. The workout starts at 7am and is followed by breakfast. 

Raffle tickets will be sold at the gym for $5 (cash only) with prizes drawn on the day. Every ticket directly supports The Breakfast Club Redcliffe.

Love the Music of the 80s and 90s? 

Rustle up your friends for a lively night of rock and pop with The 80’s Vs 90’s Show at Narangba Valley Tavern on Saturday, 9 May. 

Band member Leroy Bath said the fully costumed tribute show was dedicated to the artists of the 80s and 90s and included 24 costume changes.  

“We are a six-piece live band performing all the biggest hits from Madonna, Billy Idol, Cher, Blink 182, Tina Turner, B-52s, Green Day, Nirvana, Britney Spears, Queen, INXS, The Spice Girls and many more,” Leroy said. 

Attendees are encouraged to wear wigs, gloves, fluoro shirts, punk outfits, legwarmers and other themed clothing, as this is a dress-up event with prizes for the best dressed on the night.  

Entry is free. The event starts at 8pm.

Then you are in for a treat when Cruisin’ Caboolture makes its return to the James Street Precinct on Sunday, 17 May. 

Director of Mask Events Domenic Fusca said they were excited to bring Cruisin’ Caboolture back to the community. 

“Whether you’re a car enthusiast or just looking for a great outing with family, friends or solo, Cruisin’ Caboolture has you covered with a huge afternoon of classic cars, motorcycles, live entertainment, kids’ activities, food trucks and market stalls,” Domenic said. 

The free, all-ages event runs from 11am to 4pm and includes an impressive lineup of vehicles on display. The Show ’n’ Shine competition includes 11 different award categories and over $2000 in cash prizes and trophies.

Pop into a pop-up indoor market!

Pop-up Indoor Market

Rain, hail or shine, gather friends and family and pop into the Pop-Up Indoor Market at Morayfield Sport and Events Centre (MSEC) on Saturday, 11 April, from 8am to 12pm. 

The MSEC Morning Markets are a pop-up community market series running throughout the year. Attendees are invited to meet the makers, growers, creators, and small businesses at the markets and support the local community.  

There will be over 60 stalls offering a variety of wares, including jewellery, candles, décor, plants and more, within the air conditioned venue. 

Entry is free, and the café will be open for food and drinks.

The Pumicestone Chamber of Commerce will present Monster Speed Networking at Sports Central Caboolture on Monday, 13 April, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. 

President of Pumicestone Chamber of Commerce, Micheal Parker, said the event was for any business owner in the Moreton Bay area wanting to expand their network and connect with other local businesses and community leaders.  

“We hope to generate genuine connection whilst helping local businesses gain exposure and opportunities for collaboration,” Micheal said.

Magic Men take over Caboolture! 

On Friday, 13 March, Caboolture’s Sundowner Hotel will transform into the ultimate ladies night out when Magic Men Australia return to the venue with their Feel The Magic Tour.  

Event specialist at Magic Men Australia, Menno Van Kampen, said Magic Men Australia was one of Australia’s most sought-after male revue shows performing globally and now holds the world’s largest ladies’ nights.  

“We’ve set a new record in ladies entertainment with over 6000 guests in attendance on our recent Scandinavian tour,” he said. 

This time, audiences can see TikTok and Instagram superstar Will Parfitt hit the stage with high-energy choreography, acrobatics, and crowd interaction.

Music lovers are in for a treat when Sports Central Caboolture presents the Living in The 70’s Band playing live on Friday, 27 March, from 8.30pm to 11pm. 

This free event aims to capture the nostalgia of the 70s as the band performs songs by AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac, Skyhooks, ABBA, The Doors, The Beatles, Sweet, The Rolling Stones, CCR, Bee Gees, Angels, Tina Turner, Bowie, Dragon and more. 

Living in The 70s band member, Rob, said this would be their first gig in Caboolture and 10 years in the making.  

“We’ve been promising to bring the show to town and it’s finally happening!” Rob said. 

“Living In The 70’s is a straight-up party band and that’s exactly what you can expect. Good vibes, great tunes, plenty of dancing and more than a few laughs along the way.”

Looking to watch the Super Bowl in a great atmosphere?

Get your mates together for a Super Bowl LX party vibe at Morayfield Tavern on Monday, 9 February.

Watch one of the biggest sporting events on the global calendar as it comes to you live on the big screens from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, home of the San Francisco 49ers.

If you enjoy browsing through all manner of vintage wares in search of a treasure, make sure you get to the Caboolture Antique, Collectable, Record and Coin Fair at Caboolture Showgrounds on Saturday, 28 February.

Whether you are a serious collector, decorator or just along for a look, there is plenty to see. This is Collectormania’s first visit to Caboolture, and they bring a curated mix of specialist dealers offering a wide variety of antiques, vintage items and collectables like coins, records, militaria, curios, dolls, toys, jewellery, porcelain, glassware and more.

Make a day of it from 8am to 2pm, with stalls both indoors and outdoors, food trucks onsite and a café area with refreshments.

Super Saturday Plant Sale at RedFox Orchids

In the Market for Orchids, Carnivorous Plants or other Exotic Botanicals? 

If you are a lover of unusual plants, then make sure you get to the second annual Super Saturday Plant Sale at RedFox Orchids, 191 Dances Road, Caboolture, on Saturday, 6 December. 

Whether for your home and garden or a thoughtful Christmas gift for someone else, feast your eyes on orchids, air plants, African violets, succulents and cacti, stag and elkhorns, carnivorous plants and more. 

A number of plant specialists have combined for this event, and it promises to be big! Attendees can fuel up with coffee from the van and a sausage sizzle by the Caboolture Orchid Society.

Monster Truck Mayhem Thrills & Stunt Show

Rev up your family and friends for a rip-roaring time at the Monster Truck Mayhem Thrills & Stunt Show at Caboolture Showgrounds on Saturday, 27 December. 

Come and feel the ground shake as Outback Thunda (along with his mate Confused) perform nose wheelies, wheelstanding tricks, rollovers and car crushing action. 

There is something for everyone with comedy cars, the wheelstanding Jeep, giveaways, and daring stunts. A variety of food and drinks will be available and the evening is topped off with a dazzling display of fireworks.

Fancy some free live music and family fun?

Gather the family or some mates for a great afternoon and evening of entertainment for all ages at The Burpengary Tavern on Saturday, 15 November.

This event will be held no matter what the weather, as it will be in the functions area. Enjoy ice cold drinks, delicious food and cool music as The Burpo will host three live music sets from two-piece covers band Double Jack.

The chefs are working on a special menu, so look for some tempting dishes. Good drinks, food, music and company – it doesn’t get much better than this.

Suitable for all abilities, the event invites the community to enjoy great food, music and a scavenger hunt to keep everyone entertained. Comfort and accessibility are assured with concrete pathways, toilet blocks and undercover seating areas.

It’s back, bigger and better than ever! 4WD enthusiasts won’t want to miss The Classic Landcruiser Expo and Car Show at Caboolture Showgrounds on Saturday, 18 October. 

Bring along friends and family to celebrate the culture and continued preservation of classic Toyota Landcruisers. Check out the car competition with entries coming from all over Australia to vie for the coveted awards.  

Fuel up at the food trucks and meet and greet industry celebrities and special guests. Browse stalls and view product demonstrations from Landcruiser and 4WD industry vendors. 

A family pass is $30 for two adults and two children. Admission is $12 for an adult (14+) and $7 for a child (aged 4-13). Onsite camping passes are also available.

Come and make some beautiful memories where the past meets the present at Senior’s Month Family Day at Caboolture Historical Village on Saturday, 18 October, from 9am to 2pm. 

The Caboolture Historical Village Events Manager said this day was a great opportunity for multiple generations to experience how things were done in the old days.  

“Demonstrations, usually conducted for school groups, will be running on Family Day, so grandparents can show grandkids what life was like for them,” they said. “Memories and great stories are sure to fill the day.” 

Normal entry fees are adults $18, concession $15, six to 16 years $10, and five and under free. A special family day package, which includes entry to the village and all displays, demonstrations, a train ride, and a buffet roast lunch with live music in Stanmore Hall, is available for adults at $35, and kids at $25. Ever wanted to know what it takes to be an author? Curious about how writers come up with ideas? Here’s your chance to ask! Chat with 15 authors from the Moreton Bay area to learn more about the people behind the stories in a speed-dating-style event.  

Authors will have their books for sale, so come along and support your local wordsmiths.

Dads’ Day Off at North Harbour Heritage Park

For a family-friendly, free community event of food, entertainment and fun for all ages, don’t miss Dads’ Day Off at North Harbour Heritage Park on Saturday, 6 September, from 2pm to 7pm. 

Gather friends and family to celebrate dads and father figures with an afternoon in the park. Relax on your picnic rug or camp chair around the community campfire or marvel at the fire show and roving fire twirlers. Fuel up at the food trucks and enjoy a free smoothie from Bike’n’Blend, plus lots of giveaways. 

There is plenty of action with a John Deere demo, Dino Encounter show and more. Dad really does get some time off as the kids have a variety of entertainment including a super slide, jumping castle and kid zone.

This event is sponsored by Queensland Protection Week and offers free activities, including face painting, sensory play tables, and even a petting zoo where kids can get close to delightful farm animals.

The team from Footloose Fun will kick off the night with their easy line-dancing workshop that will have the whole family on their feet, ‘Wild West’ style. Dress up to vie for prizes for best country outfits.

Like to get a little bit country and a lot of action with Bulls, Broncs and Bands? 

Yee haw! Pull on your boots and grab your cowboy hat as Triple B Rodeo brings unforgettable thrills and live music to Caboolture Showgrounds on Saturday, 16 August, from 2pm. 

The bucking bulls and broncs will have you on the edge of your seat! Plenty of adrenaline rushes are assured as these magnificent creatures buck, twist and spin to unseat their valiant riders. 

Keep yourself fuelled with plenty of delicious food and drink stalls and a well-stocked bar as you enjoy all the great entertainment both in the arena and on stage. Australian Idol runner-up Shannon Noll is the headliner, supported by other country singing stars Lane Pittman and Taylor Moss.

If you love a bizarre bazaar, then be sure to browse the Curious Cryptids Market at Morayfield Sports and Events Centre on Saturday, 23 August and Sunday, 24 August, from 9am to 3pm. 

While cryptids are creatures whose existence is unconfirmed by science, e.g. the Yeti or Mothman, the markets also include a range of jewellery, oddities, art and entomology celebrating all manner of curiosities. 

“Explore the strange and spectacular at the Cryptic Creations Show: Curious Cryptids Market!” a representative of the Cryptic Creations team said. “We are again bringing together local alternative makers with a passion for the peculiar – this time with a Curious Cryptid theme! Find one-of-a-kind oddities, artwork and other slow-made creations!”

Caboolture State High School is in full freaky rehearsal mode to bring you The Addams Family Musical on Friday, 18 July and Saturday, 19 July. 

The talented teens are practicing their spooky dance moves and spine-chilling vocals to bring you thrills and giggle. The whole eccentric Addams Family will be up to their own special brand of mayhem and madness – see Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester and more come to life on stage. 

Marvel at the costumes, enjoy the music, immerse yourself in the mystery and be thoroughly entertained as the students sing, dance and act their hearts out.

The whole family will enjoy browsing all manner of collectables, jewellery, toys, homewares, haberdashery, records, military paraphernalia, dolls, coloured glass, coins, stamps and more. 

Immerse yourself in history and nostalgia as you enjoy the thrill of spotting something with special meaning to you. You can even bring items from home for a free appraisal.

The community is invited to this year’s Scripture Union Australia ‘Helping Hope Happen’ Chaplaincy Fundraiser at Tullawong State Primary School on Friday, 30 May.  

This special event brings together the Caboolture, Morayfield, Wamuran, Delaney’s Creek and Woodford districts for one unforgettable night in support of local school chaplains. 

Hear from inspiring guest speakers and those who directly support our youth. Take part in the auction and raffles and enjoy the live music. Food is provided and drinks can be purchased from the bar.

Looking for family fun with a difference?

Explore the intriguing history of Japan through various activities at Kids Dig It!  

Japanese Family Fun at The Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology will be on daily from Monday, 7 April to Friday, 11 April.  

Get ready for hands-on, interactive, educational fun for the whole family. Dig up some Japanese artefacts, practice your archery skills, make a Japanese pot from clay, paint your own Noh mask and take part in games, quizzes and more. 

Ticket prices vary: one child (5-12 years) and one adult is $18.50. Activities are free with an entry ticket, however, session times for scheduled activities must be booked. The Abbey Museum is open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

Revel in an afternoon of live blues music at Porch Blues at The Hotel, Caboolture Historical Village on Saturday, 8 March.   

Take in the ambience of a slower-paced time while soaking up the sounds of some incredible blues performers.  

Festival favourite Dillion James brings the New Orleans piano groove and has been #1 on the Australian Blues Charts. Host and exceptional blues player, Zed Charles performs all styles of blues. And songstress Angela Fabian with band The Big Jam will keep everyone fired up.

Gather friends and family for a fun evening of watching The Wild Robot at Bunya Adventure Playground, Upper Caboolture on Friday, 21 March. 

Enjoy an enchanting evening in nature under the moonlight as City of Moreton Bay brings you another Movie in the Park event complete with food trucks and kids activities before the movie. 

The Wild Robot (PG) is a heartwarming tale about a robot who finds herself stranded on a remote, uninhabited island after a shipwreck. Initially out of place, she learns to adapt by observing the animals around her. There is something in that for everyone. 

Don’t forget your picnic blanket and you are also welcome to bring your own snacks.

Join in the joy of performing as the Woodford Folk Festival welcomes you to the March Woodford Folk Club at Woodfordia on Saturday, 29 March.  

Musicians and poets of all ages are invited to perform on the Coopers Bar stage for up to 10 minutes per act. Chalkboard spots may be available on the night and there will be jam sessions happening after the performances – so don’t forget your instruments!

From Michael Jackson to Metallica, Madonna to Billy Joel, and Duran Duran to Adam Ant, the 80s were bursting with talent and new sounds. Join in as the band turns back time and plays all the greatest hits for the countdown to 2025.

Nature lovers with a desire to assist in species conservation will enjoy this workshop brought to you by Queensland Threatened Plant Network. Topics include establishing a plant profile, key information to collect when conducting a plant survey and how survey data can be used to conserve threatened plants. You will then have the opportunity to put theory into action with a walk in the bushland to practice survey techniques.
