Feel the power of fire hoses, experience the sound of a police siren up close and see what the inside of an ambulance looks like.
The Emergency Services Expo at Woodford is your chance to say hello and interact with all of the local heroes who do their bit to protect and look after our community.
Join emergency service representatives from the Queensland Police, Queensland Ambulance Service, State Emergency Service (SES), Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, Australian Red Cross, Life Flight Australia and many more.
Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism CEO Luke Edwards said event attendees would gain valuable insights into emergency services operations and safety practices.
Meet The Local Heroes Who Keep the Community Safe
“The Emergency Services Expo is the perfect opportunity for the community to come together and meet the local heroes who keep us safe,” Mr Edwards said. “Gather your family and friends for an action-packed day of learning, engagement and community spirit. Don’t miss this chance to meet emergency service professionals, discover how they protect our communities and find out how you can get involved!”
There will be plenty of fun and educational activities for all ages, including interactive displays, live demonstrations and more. The main arena will have a full program of demonstrations running from 9am to 1pm.
If you have wondered what the inside of a police car looks like (without being in trouble of course!), here’s your chance to jump in and even sound the siren! If you want to find out what it’s like to be out there fighting fires, why not try your hand at using a fire hose on a rural firefighting truck – fully guided by the professionals? You can also learn the ropes and find out what it takes to be one of our extremely valuable SES volunteers.
Here’s your chance to also meet the incredible men and women who work tirelessly to protect our communities and find out how you can get involved if you want to join.
Whether you’re interested in the operational aspects of emergency services, considering a volunteer role, or simply looking for an informative day out with the family, the expo promises to be a rewarding experience for all.
