Families looking for an egg-cellent way to celebrate Easter can hop along to the Caboolture Showgrounds for the Good Friday Easter Carnival, a free community event packed with rides, entertainment and family fun.

Returning for its third year, the popular community event on Friday, 3 April, promises a lively day out for families, with attractions, activities and plenty of opportunities for visitors to relax, explore and enjoy the festive Easter atmosphere.

Event Manager Shawn Pickett said the carnival was created to give families something special to enjoy together on Good Friday.

“The event has now been running for three years,” Shawn said. “It was created after we recognised that there was very little for families to do on Good Friday, with most shops and businesses closed. Our goal was to provide a fun, family-friendly event that the community could enjoy together.”

Carnival Fun: Rides, Reptiles, and the Easter Bunny

Visitors can expect a full day of entertainment, including the Amazing Animals to You animal farm, a reptile display with live shows, a children’s archery experience and live music throughout the day. A wide variety of market stalls, showbags and food vendors will also be on site, offering plenty for families to explore while soaking up the festive atmosphere.

And of course, it wouldn’t be Easter without a visit from a special guest. The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance to spread a little Easter cheer among younger visitors, while carnival rides are set to be another major highlight. Individual rides will be available throughout the day at a cost of $7 per ride, and unlimited ride bands will be on offer for $35 for those keen to experience everything the carnival has to offer.

Shawn said the event was designed to offer families an affordable and enjoyable day out.

“Events like this are important for Caboolture and the wider region because they bring the community together, support local vendors and small businesses, and provide a fun, affordable day out for families,” he said.
