Major water and wastewater infrastructure works have commenced in Elimbah.

Developer Goldfields announced the commencement of the construction of the Elimbah Water and Sewerage Infrastructure Project last month. The project aims to deliver more than $30 million in essential water and wastewater infrastructure to support the area’s expanding residential and urban development.

Goldfields Development Director Daniel Flanagan described the project as a major investment in local infrastructure.

“This project will deliver essential water and wastewater infrastructure to support future growth and development in Elimbah,” Mr Flanagan said.

The project will service the future residential and urban development area bound by Pumicestone Road, Clinker Road and the Bruce Highway.

Technical Infrastructure and Community Updates

The project includes construction of new wastewater infrastructure, new and upgraded water mains, a new wastewater pump station and a barometric loop. National civil construction company Winslow Group has been appointed principal contractor. Works will be delivered in stages over approximately 12 months, with completion scheduled for mid-2027, weather and construction conditions permitting.

Key components include a gravity sewer along McGarry Road, a pump station near Old Toorbul Point Road, a rising main running beneath the Bruce Highway, a barometric loop at Pumicestone Road and Reserve Drive, a new water main under Pumicestone Road and an upgraded water main along Rudken Parade.

Mr Flanagan said Goldfields would implement a comprehensive communications plan to minimise disruption, with updates available at the project website.
