The Porch Blues Boutique Festival may have a humble name, but the lineup of musicians headlining this event is anything but small.
On Saturday, 2 May, The Hotel in the Caboolture Historical Village will be rocking and thumping to the foot-tapping and soulful sounds of a stellar array of blues artists as host Zed Charles presents this live musical event on the ‘Porch’.
Porch Blues team member, Robyn Davies, said Caboolture would be treated to the cream of blues music with a lineup of nationally and internationally recognised blues artists.
“Only the very best blues artists are here,” Robyn said.
“Earlier this year, Zed Charles’ album Hear My Word was a finalist in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, USA, for Best Self-Produced CD. The album also sat at number two in the Aussie blues charts and remained in the top 20 for eight months.
“Zed is currently putting the finishing touches on his new album, featuring Jesse Redwing and Josh Conroy, due for release at this Porch Blues Festival.”
Those attending the Porch Blues event will have the opportunity to listen to a range of performers, including Zed, as well as Australia-wide and world-renowned blues artists Jesse Redwing, seven-piece band Miss Jodie & The Hoochers, local bluesman Dillion James, and young blues group Shadie Hadie. There will also be The All-Star Jam, where the musicians perform together in what is described as a fitting finale to a great day of music.
The Village Experience: Food, Camping, and Family Fun
“The calibre of all the acts at this event is high,” Robyn said. “People are in for a great experience of just how good the blues can sound.”
Functions Administrator at Caboolture Historical Village, Leanne Svenson, said the Porch Blues event was a family affair.
“We are very pleased to host this friendly event here at The Village,” Leanne said.
The Blue Tucker Box food van will be on site, serving burgers, bacon and egg rolls, hot dogs, grazing platters and soft drinks. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own food and drinks. On-site camping is available.
Tickets are limited and start at $65 for adults, with free entry for under-18s. Lear more or book here.
