Calling all kids aged between one and 12 years old! Official word has just come in that the Easter Bunny is making an early stop in Dakabin this year.

State Member for Kurwongbah Shane King and State Member for Murrumba Steven Miles will host their annual free Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, 12 April at Bob Brock Park. Kicking off at 11am (registration from 10.30am), kids will have a blast running around two sports fields scavenging for eggs with the Easter Bunny.

Mr King said that the event had been very popular in the past and that they had big plans for even more fun in the future.

“This is the third year we’ve run this event – the feedback’s been great for the last two and we plan to make this one bigger and better than ever!” he said.

Fitness, Fun, and Chocolate Treats!

This year’s program will include some fun fitness activities before the hunt begins. Stretch, warm up and get pumped, ready to race off and search for those hidden Easter eggs.

When all the exercise makes the family hungry and thirsty, pop into North Pine Sports Club, which will have hot food and drinks available for purchase.

It’s fun, it’s free – and there are chocolate eggs!
