What’s On? Easter Saturday, April 4th, 2026

Easter Saturday is often the toughest stretch of the long weekend because the kids are amped up and ready for Easter Sunday, but they still need to get through the entirety of Saturday without driving you around the bend! So, a hands-on experience is a must.

Petting Zoo

Petting zoos are a great activity for kids of all ages, and they’re fun for adults, too. It’s a safe space to introduce the kids to animals up close and personal.

White Ridge Animal Farm has tractor rides, a toddler playground, an adventure playground, and a sizeable picnic area so it’s easy to spend hours on the farm. Don’t forget to visit the animals while you’re there! The farm has llamas, alpacas, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, and horses to visit with and you can even feed some of them. There’s also an interactive area where children can get down and play with guinea pigs and rabbits. It’s a truly interactive experience and a unique opportunity for kids to meet animals of all sizes.

Venue: White Ridge Animal Farm, 130 Hamilton Road, Elimbah

What’s On? Easter Sunday, April 5th, 2026

There’s a lot to fit in on Easter Sunday, so you might not want to dedicate the entire day to activities, but we do have solutions for a few hours of fun. You can fit these in before or after your massive holiday meal.

Easter Eggstravaganza

Take your Easter Sunday up a notch at the Sandstone Point Hotel’s annual Easter Eggstravaganza. Starting at 9:30 am, this exciting event is jam-packed with fun, including a massive Easter egg hunt for children aged 2-10, featuring thousands of eggs hidden around the grounds. Participation is free, but egg hunters must register online beforehand to secure their spot. Will your child find the golden egg and win and eggs-traordinary prize?

Beyond the hunt, there’s plenty to keep families entertained, like live music, market stalls, craft stations, a petting zoo, and special appearances by the Easter Bunny. Entry to the event is free, and while some activities have an additional cost, it’s an unbeatable way to spend the day.

Venue: Sandstone Point Hotel, 1800 Bribie Island Road, Sandstone Point

The Patch Imaginarium

Before (or after) you enjoy Easter leftovers, why not take your little ones on an epic adventure of learning and fun? The Bribie Island Seaside Museum offers a hands-on experience for kids to get their hands dirty in the garden. With crafts and activities, there’s something for everyone and even the adults can get involved. There’s a pretend veggie patch where kids can plant and there are play chickens just waiting for egg collection. There’s an activity station where kids can craft.

The museum has a small car park, a museum shop, and accessible toilets.

Venue: Bribie Island Seaside Museum, 1 South Esplanade, Bongaree

What’s On? Easter Monday, April 6th, 2026

Easter Monday is a perfect day to relax with family, but if you want to get out and about to walk off some of that Easter chocolate, Caboolture Arboretum has so much to offer. Take a stroll along 2km of footpath to see what wildlife you can spot.

Why not pack a picnic and include some frozen peas and corn for the ducks to enjoy – it’s a healthier choice for them than bread – and maybe add a little shredded lettuce to tempt the turtles, too!

Maximise Fun for the Long Weekend

If you’re looking for fun over the long Easter weekend, you will find plenty of it in Caboolture! With a mix of hands-on learning opportunities and wholesome family fun, you shouldn’t have too much trouble keeping the kids entertained.

If you would rather stay closer to home, you can invest in some Easter-themed colouring books and plan an Easter egg hunt in the garden.

Whatever you do, we hope this handy guide will help you plan the most fun-packed weekend possible. Just be sure to stock up on water, sunscreen, and chocolate, of course.
