What’s cuter than a miniature horse? Hundreds of miniature horses strutting their stuff at Queensland’s largest small equine event of the year!
When talking about tiny horses, their cuteness is only matched by their beauty, versatility, intelligence and elegance – and there is a great opportunity to see the finest in action at the 2024 AMHS QLD State Championship Show this month.
Karen Williams, State Coordinator of the Australian Miniature Horse Society Inc, said spectators were welcome to pop in and enjoy the various classes and events.
“It’s not just horses walking around on the end of a rope,” Karen said.
“The horses are all under 10 hands (40 inches) high so are too small to ride. They compete in harness classes, jumping, trail classes where the horse goes over obstacles and other events as well as the halter classes.”
Adorable Equine Spectacle in Queensland
Karen said it was also a great chance to learn more about miniature horses.
“For anyone thinking of owning a horse, minis are a wonderful companion animal and cost less to keep than full-size horses,” she said.
Make a beautiful fun day out for you and your family at this cuteness overload of miniature horses.
