Come and say hello to Australia’s most-loved gardener, Costa Georgiadis of ABC’s Gardening Australia, at Moreton Bay’s biggest and best Eco Fest yet!

Costa is a big supporter of sustainable living for the whole community and loves to share his knowledge, passion and enthusiasm with others so they too can live a healthier, more eco-friendly life.

Bring the family to this fun event promoting sustainability and eco-friendly lifestyle ideas. Join leading experts, community organisations, foodies, green thumbs, conservationists and more, who will share practical tips on how to live more sustainably.

Immerse yourself in a day filled with hands-on workshops, plant giveaways, inspiring talks and eco-friendly activities for all ages.

Jason Maddock and Hiro Kubo, proprietors of Amanecer Fresh, said they greatly enjoy talking to people visiting their microgreens stall at Eco Fest each year.

“Teaching people to grow things also helps them grow as people. Knowing that we help them do that is the best eco-friendly feeling,” Jason said.

“Microgreens are small but mighty both in nutrition and in taste. We love introducing people to the varieties available and helping them with uses and recipe ideas.

“We learn from our customers too and share that knowledge so other customers can more easily enjoy the benefits of microgreens. You can’t get anything fresher or healthier than living, growing plants.”.

While there are many aspects to sustainability that they practise, Jason and Hiro love to advocate about recycling and how we can all recycle more.

“Whenever there is waste, there is an opportunity to recycle,” Hiro said.

“We encourage customers to bring all their pots to us, rather than throw them away. We recycle any plastic pot returned to us. Any we can’t reuse, we dispose of with the appropriate recycler.

“Anything we can do to help the environment’s health also helps our health.

“We love how Eco Fest creates environmental awareness in our community.”

Don’t miss the opportunity to meet a celebrity and learn how to live a healthier life for you, your family and the planet. Small changes can make a big difference!
