Whether it’s the excitement of summer carnivals, the charm of winter fairs, or the vibrancy of spring parades, Caboolture’s festivals foster a deep sense of community and celebration. Here is a list of all our favourite festivals in and around Caboolture and surrounding suburbs of north Brisbane, by month!

January Festivals

Music in the Park Scarborough

  • Date: Sunday 26 January
  • Location: Scarborough Beach Park, Scarborough

Celebrate Australia Day with friends. Take a picnic rug, fold-up chairs, water, sunscreen, and shade. Enjoy Moreton Bay entertainment and food trucks on site.

Australia Day on Bribie Island

Brennan Park and Chamber of Commerce Park play host to a cracking stage program of live music, there will be games, a few food trucks, market stalls and a good ole’ community sausage sizzle.

February Festivals

Moreton Bay Region Lunar New Year

The Moreton Bay Region Lunar New Year event brings vibrant celebrations of the East to Caboolture. It’s a family-fun evening to celebrate the start of the Chinese New Year.

March Festivals

Brisbane Cycling Festival

The Brisbane Cycling Festival features a line-up of rides, races, events, expos, and entertainment for cyclists of all abilities.

Moreton Kids Festival

Moreton Kids Festival celebrates the wonder and boundless enthusiasm of youth, featuring a jam-packed program of family-friendly entertainment.

Bluewater Festival

  • Date: Thursday 17 and Friday 18 April, 2025 
  • Location: Moora Park, Shorncliffe

The famous Bluewater Festival at Shorncliffe Pier offers food, markets, entertainment, live bands, kids’ activities, and fireworks in conjunction with the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race.

Straddie Easter Carnival: Dunwich 

  • Date: TBC for 2025
  • Location: Dunwich, Stradbroke Island

This annual Easter community event features rides for kids, showbags, animals, market stalls, and a spectacular fireworks display.

April Festivals

Caboolture Festival

Caboolture and its surrounds are filled with live music, entertainment, art exhibitions, family-friendly activities, and more as part of the Caboolture Festival.

May Festivals

The Hills Festival

  • Date: Throughout May, 2025
  • Multiple locations

The Hills come alive with fireworks, rides, entertainment and workshops for the month-long program of Hills Festival. Events are held in Arana Hills, Bunya, Draper, Everton Hills, Ferny Hills and Albany Creek.

Moreton Bay Multisport Festival

Held in May, the festival in Clontarf features twilight running conditions on Saturday and a triathlon on Sunday, raising funds for the Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Where We Belong Festival

Redcliffe’s biggest music festival at Picnic Hill features a showcase of headline and local bands, food trucks, merch stands, and a beer garden.

Dayboro Day Festival

The Dayboro Day Festival returns annually with the Dayboro Antique & Collectables Fair, attracting over 20,000 visitors to this quaint rural township.

June Festivals

Steam Fair

July Festivals

Bonfire Night

Bonfire Night at Sandstone Point Hotel features food trucks, fire twirlers, marshmallow roasting, campfire singalongs, live entertainment, flame shows, and pyro displays.

Dayboro Show

Abbey Medieval Festival

The Abbey Medieval Festival in Caboolture features historical re-enactments, medieval banquets, jousting, and family-friendly activities.

Mac’s Bridge Classic Car and Aircraft Festival

Experience classic cars and aircraft at Mac’s Bridge. Fun for the whole family! In addition to the usual comprehensive classic car displays, there will also be classic aircraft and warbirds.

Anywhere Theatre Festival

This festival brings art and performance together in a range of performances across Moreton Bay and Brisbane.

Snow4Kids Festival

Get ready for the coolest event of the year! Snow4Kids Festival transforms Westfield North Lakes into an immersive winter wonderland.

Einbunpin Festival

December Festivals

Woodford Folk Festival

Sandstone Point Hotel Christmas Carnival
