Get ready for a fun-filled family day out that’s bursting with flavour, colour, and music!
On Friday, 27 September, the Wamuran Sports Complex will come alive from 9am to 1pm for the FREE F.A.M (Food, Art, Music) Festival – a vibrant celebration of everything local.
Mayor Peter Flannery said the City of Moreton Bay was delighted to once again host Wamuran’s Food Art Music Festival.
“Locals can sample the best of the area’s fresh produce, explore unique art and dance away to a fantastic line-up of local musicians from Wamuran and surrounds,” Mayor Flannery said.
The festival brings together local farmers, artists, and musicians in one family-friendly space designed to connect the community.
“The festival is a celebration of our city’s thriving culture, offering a space for the creatively-minded to interact with our community while sharing valuable knowledge of their craft,” Mayor Flannery said.
What to Expect at the Festival
Families are encouraged to bring their picnic baskets and fill them with the freshest produce straight from the paddock, including fruits, vegetables, cheeses, honey, and more. A wide selection of local food vendors and food trucks will be serving up delicious eats designed to satisfy every craving.
The festival will showcase the talents of local artists across a range of mediums – from painting and sculpture to jewellery and textiles. Festival-goers will have the opportunity to meet the makers and take home a handmade treasure.
Attendees can also visit The Learning Lounge, where local producers and makers will take the stage to share their stories, showcase their unique products, and reveal the creative processes behind them. It’s an opportunity to connect with the people behind your favourite local goods and discover the craftsmanship that goes into each creation.
Meanwhile, the main music stage will feature a line-up of local performers playing everything from acoustic sets to upbeat tunes – perfect for dancing or relaxing with a bite to eat.
“Why not take the family and indulge in a day of fun, food and entertainment right here in Moreton Bay?” Mayor Flannery said.
