Air fryers have become the must-have kitchen gadget, known for delivering healthier meals and faster cooking times, often using less energy than traditional ovens.
If you’re ready to unlock their full potential, join nutritionist Penny Benjamin at Burpengary Library or Deception Bay Library this month for an engaging, informative and interactive cooking demonstration.
In the hands-on session, Penny will guide you through a variety of healthy air fryer recipes that are easy to make and packed with flavour. From tasty snacks and satisfying main meals to quick breakfasts, you’ll discover how to create a wide range of dishes using your air fryer – all with health and nutrition in mind.
Penny, a qualified nutritionist with a passion for nourishing food and simple, balanced meals, said the workshop is ideal for anyone who regularly prepares meals at home – whether they’re just starting their air fryer journey or looking to add more variety to meal plans.
“Everything I demonstrate will have the nutritionist’s tick of approval,” Penny said. “The focus is on enjoying real food and balanced meals that are great for the body and the mind.”
As part of the session, attendees will have the chance to ask questions and watch live demonstrations, and they’ll receive a link to download the recipes afterwards so they can try them at home.
“It’s not about trends or fads – healthy cooking is a lifestyle,” Penny said. “Whether you’ve been using your air fryer for years or you’re brand new to it, there’ll be something for everyone to learn.”
Penny’s Tips for Getting Started with an Air Fryer
- You don’t need the biggest or most expensive model of air fryer – entry-level air fryers from stores like Kmart or Target work just fine. You can upgrade later as you go.
- Think about where you’ll store your air fryer. Even smaller units can take up a lot of bench space, so think about whether it will live on your counter or be put away between uses. Air fryers often don’t fit easily into standard cupboards.
- Choose a size that suits your household. Larger families will benefit from a bigger fryer to cook more food at once.
The Air Fryer Easy! session is free to attend, but bookings are essential due to limited spaces. Book online here.
