An exciting, free, and family-friendly alternative to the Ekka returns to Caboolture this month.
Caboolture Family Fun Day returns to Centenary Lakes Park on Monday, 11 August, to celebrate the region’s Ekka holiday.
CEO of Visit Moreton Bay, Luke Edwards, said this event is packed with family-friendly fun.
“For those who want an alternative day out to the Ekka, they can enjoy a day full of free amusement rides, live entertainment, kids’ activities, showbags, food trucks, markets and more,” Luke said.
“This year’s event will feature more rides than ever before – all absolutely free.”
While the program of events is yet to be announced, Luke assured that there will be plenty more rides this year.
“…What I can say is that this year we will have more free rides than ever before! We’ll also have fun activities like face painting and, of course, it wouldn’t be Ekka time without showbags for sale,” Luke said.
A Day of Community, Fun and Local Support
Whether you’re a visitor or a Moreton Bay local, the Caboolture Family Fun Day aims to make a positive impact on the community.
“Events like Caboolture Family Fun Day are a fantastic opportunity for local families to come together and enjoy a memorable day out that’s accessible and doesn’t cost the earth,” Luke said.
“It’s also a great reason for visitors, and visiting friends and family from nearby regions to visit Moreton Bay and in doing so, support our local businesses as they’re likely to make a day of it, which could mean eating out in nearby cafes and restaurants.”
Alongside the abundance of free rides, there will also be a main stage with plenty of entertainment from local acts and talent, running throughout the day from 10am to 4pm.
For the little ones, there will be the Ray White Caboolture Kids Zone, which features workshops, craft activities, face painting, and more.
“Caboolture Family Fun Day is a much-loved event in the Moreton Bay region,” Luke said. “Grab the family and head down to the event – it’s a great day out.”
Please note that parking is limited at Centenary Lakes Park.
