Burpengary is set to come alive with music, as the brand-new Beers & Beats Burpengary event makes its debut at Symphony Crescent Park this month after last year’s launch was affected by the weather.
The free event promises an afternoon filled with live musicians, a delicious range of cuisine from various food trucks, and activities for the whole family.
Mayor Peter Flannery said he was looking forward to this new addition to City of Moreton Bay’s community calendar.
“It’s all about bringing people together for an afternoon of great food, live music and family fun,” he said.
“This event importantly also celebrates local talent by giving musicians the opportunity to perform while at the same time creating a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere where the community can connect and enjoy quality time together.”
Entertainment for Everyone
Councillor Mark Booth noted the wide appeal of the program.
“There will be plenty of entertainment to keep everyone engaged, from the kids dancing to tunes through to adults looking to unwind on a Saturday afternoon,” Cr Booth said.
“I encourage everyone to bring your family and friends along, and of course your appetites, and join us from 2pm to 6pm at Symphony Crescent Park for an afternoon of entertainment, great food and community fun.”
