Live music, local talent and family entertainment are set to take centre stage when Groovin’ in the Green – Golden Grooves comes to Norfolk Lakes Park in Narangba this month.
The free neighbourhood event on Saturday, 12 September gives residents of all ages the chance to enjoy live covers, food trucks and entertainment while connecting with their local community in a relaxed outdoor setting.
City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery said the event had been created with families and community connection in mind.
“Groovin’ in the Green has become a popular fixture on our community events calendar since being introduced earlier this year,” Mayor Flannery said.
“It’s been created as a laidback, family-friendly event that everyone will enjoy.
“Residents can expect live music performed by talented local singer-songwriters, food trucks, along with free kids’ activities and face painting.
“Bring a picnic and enjoy a relaxed afternoon out in our beautiful city.”
Attendees are encouraged to settle in with a picnic rug and enjoy an afternoon of live music and entertainment, with a licensed area, circus fun, face painting and free kids’ activities also on offer.
