If you want to relive the best decades of rock’n’roll, come to Rock of Stages!

Known for their magical musicals, dynamic dances and artful acting, the folk at KSP Theatre are adding another accolade this month – the title of ‘Gods and Goddesses of Rock’ – with their upcoming cabaret spectacular Rock of Stages.

Director and producer at KSP Theatre, Janelle Kerr, said Rock of Stages was a dedication to her favourite music genre – rock.

“Rock of Stages’ showcases music from the 80s onwards and encompasses rock in all its forms,” Janelle said. “We go country, we go hard and we go punk.

“This show takes the audience on a rock journey through love, heartbreak, friendship and strength and we have an absolute blast doing it.

“I love rock music and have been wanting to do this show for a long time. It makes my soul happy to have finally gotten it on the stage.”

A Cast and Crew Ready to Rock the Stage

Both the creative team and cast have stepped up in an effort to make the production sparkle and shine. The creative team includes Janelle, Chantelle Currie (choreographer), Russell Jensen, Natalie Howie, Amanda Jensen, Wayne Adlington, Kelly Stevenson, Barbara Gowlett and Scott Howie.

Joining Janelle in the cast are Chantelle Currie, Natalie Howie, Amanda Jensen, Casey Berends, Nicky Tanner, Rae Adlington, Adelle Adlington, Shaun Matthews, Russell Jensen, Joe Pieters, Jake Nicholson, Alex Cramer and Eli Barber.

Janelle added that people (including herself!) had been pushed out of their comfort zones, but everyone had risen to the challenge.

“The whole cast and crew have worked very hard during rehearsals to bring ‘my show’ to life,” she said.

“We are having fun with all the songs. There are a couple of cheeky send-ups e.g. our boy band Psycho Echo and our girl band Girlzone will be making appearances.

“Audiences should be prepared for a thoroughly entertaining night. The food will be tasty, the stage will be rockin’ and there is more than one surprise in store!”

Ticket prices include supper and are priced at $35 for adults, $30 for students and concession, and $10 for children under five.
