Following a decade-long international tour through 35 cities, The Art of Banksy returns with a new iteration, set to make its global premiere in Brisbane this month.

The Art of Banksy: Chapter 2 will launch on Wednesday, 5 November at Uptown in the Queen Street Mall, promising an expanded experience for visitors.

Managing Director of Muse Entertainment, Kemal Gurkaynak, said that with Chapter 2, they were elevating the Banksy experience to new heights.

“This is not just about art, it’s about stepping inside Banksy’s world and experiencing the message, the humour, and the urgency of his work in a way that has never been done before,” Kemal said.

The exhibition offers a multi-sensory journey designed to immerse attendees in the underground ethos of street art, reimagined in a museum-scale environment.

Inside The Art of Banksy: Chapter 2

Now twice the size of its 2023 edition, the exhibition now stretches across 1550 square metres and showcases more than 300 pieces – from 100 original artworks and interactive installations to digital mapping, holograms, and sculptural interpretations of Banksy’s most iconic images, including several works on public display for the first time.

The British street artist, said to be one of the most influential of his time, has built a legacy by blending dark humour with social commentary. Chapter 2 aims to build on this legacy by offering a deeper narrative. Among the featured works are reinterpretations and stories behind pieces such as Cinderella at Dismaland, London Zoo, and Ice Cream Van. A new hologram installation adds a futuristic layer to the exhibition.

In a nod to Banksy’s humanitarian values, part of the exhibition’s proceeds will support the M.V. Louise Michel, a lifeboat that rescues migrants in distress in the Mediterranean. The vessel was originally funded through the sale of a Banksy artwork.

The previous The Art of Banksy: Without Limits was shown in cities including Sydney, Amsterdam, Istanbul, Seoul, and Mexico City. Each location featured a different installation, tailored to its setting. The upcoming Chapter 2 is expected to be the most extensive version of the exhibition to date.

The Art of Banksy: Chapter 2 is presented by Muse Entertainment in partnership with the live-entertainment platform Fever.

Tickets start at $28 for children and $39 for adults. Book your tickets here
