Beachmere resident Phoenix Myers is about to become a teenager and you can help mark this momentous occasion.
Members of the community might be familiar with Phoenix, especially if they follow The Adventures of Phoudini on Facebook. Every year, Phoenix’s mum Jaymee-Lee likes to celebrate his birthday with something big. He turns 13 on 4 July, and locals and the wider community are invited to share their well-wishes.
A similar event happened a few years ago, when Phoenix turned 10. He received almost 800 cards from around the world. According to Jaymee-Lee, this year, Phoenix and his family are hoping to outdo that number.
How to Get Involved
“Phoenix absolutely loved opening all the cards on his 10th birthday,” she said. “We still have every single one of them.
“Phoenix is all about experiences. He isn’t a kid that necessarily enjoys material things, but when I see his face light up every time he receives a card in the mail, I can tell that he is so grateful for the connection.
“So if you have sent him a card, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.”
Those wishing to send a card to help Phoenix celebrate can post them to PO Box 295, Beachmere 4510.
