Across four weekends this month, the Samford & Hinterland Arts Trail 2026 invites visitors to explore the region’s creative landscape.

Presented by Creative Samford, the self-guided trail brings together 73 artists at more than 30 venues across Samford and surrounds, Dayboro, Eatons Hill and Bunya, offering the chance to step inside studios, meet makers, and see art taking shape.

Organiser Cindy Werchon said this year’s Arts Trail would be the biggest yet.

“Visitors can enjoy open studios, exhibitions, demonstrations, workshops, and special events across the region,” Cindy said.

“A major new addition this year is the Samford Community Church Shed at 44 Glorious Road, which will become a vibrant Arts Trail destination featuring 20 unique artists in one exciting, shared space. Visitors can enjoy live demonstrations, artist Q&As, and relax with coffee and donuts each weekend while exploring the incredible range of work on display.”

Workshops, Experiences and Creative Connection

An expanded workshop program is set to be another key feature.

“A standout is the solarplate and printmaking workshop, where participants can create nature-inspired prints while learning directly from a practising artist in their studio,” Cindy said. “We also have acrylic and watercolour painting, ceramics, terrariums, mandala felting, and many more workshops designed for all skill levels.”

She said meeting artists in their own spaces gave visitors a deeper connection to the work.

“You get to experience the studio environment, see the tools and materials, and hear directly from the artist about their inspiration and process,” she said. “It turns art from something you simply view into something you truly connect with and understand.”

Cindy described the Arts Trail as a full destination experience.

“Visitors can spend the day or weekend exploring beautiful studios, meeting artists, enjoying the stunning Samford and hinterland scenery, visiting local cafes, and discovering unique small businesses,” she said. “It combines art, community, and the beauty of the region into one memorable experience.

“I hope visitors take away a real sense of connection – connection to the artists, the stories behind the work, and the creative community that makes this region so special. We want people to leave feeling inspired, surprised, and reminded of how powerful art can be in bringing people together.”

Visitors are encouraged to register for a free ticket ahead of the event to access a major prize draw and ‘Visit & Win’ experiences throughout the program.

“Whether you’re an art lover, a first-time visitor, or simply looking for a fantastic day out, there is something for everyone to discover,” Cindy said.
