Pull on your boots, tweak that cowboy hat and buckle up in your best Western gear for The Tailgate Party – a night of partying in country style.
Lovers of live country music won’t want to miss The Trucker Hat Appreciation Society as they bring a show packed with hits from the genre’s biggest artists to the Sundowner Hotel on Saturday, 13 December.
The Trucker Hat Appreciation Society spans several decades of country music, playing everything from the classic hits of the 80s and 90s by artists like Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Brooks & Dunn, and Shania Twain, to the early 2000s tunes from Keith Urban, Eric Church, Zac Brown Band, Luke Bryan, and Toby Keith. The group also includes more recent chart-toppers, such as Luke Combs, in their repertoire.

Singer and guitarist in The Trucker Hat Appreciation Society, Mark Usher, said people coming along to the Tailgate Party could expect a fun evening celebrating all things country music.
“We’ll cover songs from all the biggest stars, modern and old school,” Mark said. “We’re not just another band jumping on the ‘country is cool’ bandwagon. We’re the real thing, made up of musicians that grew up playing country.
“The band members are professional touring musicians from the country and rock worlds. So not only are the musicianship and performance on point, but there’s also a fair chance of some surprises along the way. We’ve been known to take requests and aren’t afraid to give the people what they want.
“We play a bunch of the 90s and 2000s tunes everyone loves, plus modern songs from artists like Luke Combs, Zach Ryan, Morgan Wallen, Zach Top, Chris Stapleton and more!”
He added that The Trucker Hat Appreciation Society was looking forward to returning to the Sundowner Hotel.
“Last time we came here, we had such a great time,” he said. “The crowd were really fun when we played our other show, Hurricane – The Australian Luke Combs Show.
“The Tailgate Party is similar, there’s just more!”
