It’s time to put on your Santa hat and grab your jingle bells, because Christmas cheer is filling the air in Caboolture!

Held on Saturday, 20 December, Caboolture’s much-loved Christmas Carnival is back, transforming the town into a wonderland of festive lights, delicious food, and joyful celebrations for the whole family.

Event Manager Shawn Pickett said the Christmas Carnival brought the community together.

“It’s a night where families, friends, and neighbours come together to celebrate the festive season,” Shawn said.

Families can wander through rows of market stalls, enjoy live music that will have everyone jingling along, and indulge in all their favourite carnival treats. From burgers and classic Dagwood dogs to hot donuts and fresh ginger beer, there’s something to satisfy every craving.

Shawn said the reason people return year after year goes far beyond the rides and entertainment.

“It’s more than just an event – it’s a beloved community tradition,” Shawn said. “Families come to make memories, kids grow up with the excitement of free rides and festive lights, and friends reunite to celebrate the season together.

“The laughter, joy, and sense of togetherness keep the Christmas spirit alive and the tradition strong year after year.”

Children of all ages will love the rides and entertainment scattered throughout the carnival grounds, and word has it that the big man in red himself will make a special appearance, spreading Christmas joy and handing out lollies to those on the nice list.

If a bustling carnival isn’t quite your style, there’s still plenty of festive fun around town.

The Morayfield Tavern is hosting a Christmas Day all-you-can-eat buffet lunch for those who prefer to sit back, relax, and enjoy a feast without the fuss. Guests can expect traditional favourites, hearty hot and cold dishes, decadent desserts, and plenty of options for the little ones.

And for animal lovers, White Ridge Farm is offering a unique Christmas experience with Santa and his furry friends. Visitors can enjoy free Santa photos, animal encounters, tractor rides, mini golf, and more.
